Flannigan, William– (1) St Tammany Parish Deed Bk A-1, 23, 4 April 1811, William (x) Flannigan to Thomas Bickham, no consideration stated, sold “my labour” on John Harvey’s Bluff W of Pearl River, wits. Harvy Pearson, Angus Colquhoun (abstracted in Creel, St Tammany Parish Deeds, 4); (2) STP Deed Bk A-1, 23, 4 April 1811, William (x) Flannigan to Thomas Bickham, no consideration stated, sold improvement on ES Pearl River, adj Amelia Holden below, wits. Harvy Pearson, Angus Colquhoun (Creel, 4). Both of these deeds were assigned to N. Barker.

Ford, James– [1] Washington Parish Deed Bk 8, 493-4; 25 Aug 1866, James Ford and Sally Ann Pope his wife of Marion County, MS to William A. Ford, for $3250 ($750 to be paid to James A. Jordan, the remainder paid in cash), sold tract bounded N by lands of James E. Ford, E by Pearl River, S by lands of J.M. Ball Jr. and Robert Patton, W by lands of William C. Warner, containing 2201 acres, being land acquired by purchase from James A. Ford 9 July 1860; wits. John F. Ard, Robert Daniel; Recorded 8 July 1904.

[2] Washington Parish Deed Bk 10, 9; 6 Dec 1904, judgment in case no. 329 W. A. Ford vs Heirs of John Cracker, G.W. Simmons, James F. Ard and James Ford. Judgment for Plaintiff; W.A. Ford is owner of 637 acres in Sec 43 T1S R14E, that he acquired this land from James Ford on 21 Aug 1866 and received title; the following chain of title existed at that time: U.S. to John Cracker, John Cracker to G.W. Simmons, G.W. Simmons to James F. Ard (on 11 Sept 1852), and James F. Ard to James Ford (on 19 July 1860); W.A. Ford and his vendor James Ford have been in actual possession since 21 Aug 1866; all of the aforesaid titles are hereby revived; Recorded 21 Sept 1905.

Ford of Washington Parish, for $2400, sold Sec 37 in T1S R14E containing 524 acres known as the John Mitchell place, Sec 38 in T1S R14E containing 475 acres and known as the Robert Mitchell place, section 43 in T1S R14E containing 637 acres and known as the John Cracker place, and Sec 44 in T1S R14E containing 642 acres and known as the Elias Ford place, being the same property inherited from their mother the late Mrs. Martha H. Ford wife of W.A. Ford; Recorded 27 July 1905.

Fornea, Robert- Washington Parish Deed Bk 10, 123-4; 11 Oct 1905, Thomas P. Fornea, Anna P. Fornea (widow of B. Robert Fornea), Hilton Fornea, James Fornea, Thomas B. Fornea, Joseph Fornea, Cleopatra Baughman (nee Fornea, wife of Enoch Baughman), Mollie Amacker (nee Fornea, wife of Hezzie Amacker), and Maggie Fornea (femme sole), being all children and heirs of B. Robert Fornea and all residents of Pearl River Co, MS, to the Lampton Realty Co., for $4800, sold lots 1-6 in Sec 2, lots 1-3 in Sec 3 and all of the Uriah Smith headright (no. 38) in T2S R14E, containing 1860 acres; wits. Fornea to Samuel Robertson, for $50 ($20 paid, $30 payable 2 Jan 1891), sold 40 acres bounded N by Abiar Pearson, S by George Sam[?], E by Pearl River, W by Albert Robertson, also mentions Layton Bluff; wits. Fortenberry, Gasua- Washington Parish Deed Bk 8, 393-4; 17 Jan 1877, Gasua C. Fortenberry to William F. Fortenberry both of Pike Co, MS, for $537, sold 179 acres known as the Andy Smith Headright and 109 acres being lots 1 & 2 of Sec 3 and N 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Sec 2 in T1S R9E; wits. Hiram Cutrer and M.M. Fortenberry; Recorded 26 April 1904.

Fortenberry, William Franklin- Washington Parish Deed Bk 11, 396; at Sunny Hill, 15 Sept 1906, Joseph G. Fortenberry, Benjamin S. Fortenberry, Clarence A. Fortenberry, John E. Fortenberry, William C. Fortenberry, and Alferd E. Fortenberry, “partly residents of Mississippi and La.” to Sarah E. McDaniel Fortenberry surviving widow of William Franklin Fortenberry, for $100, sold 12 acres, 5 acres being the part of lot 1 of Sec 3 north of Fortenberry Branch, and 7 acres adj the above lot, a part of the Any Smith headright (no. 55), bounded N by the state line, the sd lands formerly owned by their father W.F. Fortenberry decd. in T1 R9E. wits. Andrew J. Pierce, Elbert Magee. There are two other deeds on pp 395 and 397.
