Galloway, Eleanor- Washington Parish; no date, petition of Elenor Galloway of STP, represented that she was owner of tract on Bogue Chitto River in STP, bounded N by claim of John King, S by Abner Jenkins, sd claim owned by virtue of a donation made to George Stokes, the original settler; she prayed certificate; Jackson Galloway signed for her. Galloway, William- St Tammany Par; 13 July 1826, William(x)  Galloway of STP, who located on Bogue Chitto River in 1809, and had resided thereon since, declared that the tract of land claimed by Eleanor Galloway fronting on Bogue Chitto and lying between the lands of Abner Jenkins and the late John King, was settled by George Stokes in 1810, who sold the same to Mr. Peter Galloway and Mrs. Eleanor Galloway his widow has retained possession ever since; wits. Geo. M. Gilbert, J. N. Maxent [?]. (LSLO, Greensburg Papers, Book 15, Abstract B, #809, [G-269]).

Gates, Joseph-Cert issued 10 March 1829 To Joseph Gates of Pike County, for 162 acres, being the NE 1/4 of Sec 3 in T3 R9E; this land was initially purchased by William Gates on 14 Dec 1818; for $97, Gates sold his right to William Carter on 28 Aug 1821; for $50, Carter sold his right to James L. Reed on 20 March 1824; for $200, James L. Reed sold his right to Richard Albritton; Pike County, MS letters of administration show that at Feb Court 1827, James L. Reed was appointed administrator on the estate of Richard Albritton decd.; for “a valuable consideration paid to the estate” of Albritton, the administrator Reed sold right to Jesse Craft on 13 Aug 1827; for $65, Jesse Craft sold his right to Joseph Gates on 11 Feb 1828. Glover, Daniel– Washington Parish Deed Bk 5, 535; 30 Nov 1901, 26th Judicial Court, Mrs. Sarah Glover vs. Heirs of Daniel Glover decd.; Ordered that Plt recover of heirs of Daniel Glover decd., viz. J. Ben Glover, Robert A. Glover, W. W. Glover, Andrew Glover, Martha Glover wife of Joseph Seal, decreeing that in 1879 the Plt Mrs. Sarah Glover received title from her late husband Daniel Glover to 320 acres being the S 1/2 of Sec. 46, T2S R__E, that said title was destroyed by 1897 courthouse fire, and decreed that sd title be revived; Recorded 15 March 1902.

Glover, David- St Tammany Par Deed Bk A-1, 15; 11 Feb 812, David Glover to “my son” William Glover for love & affection, gave claim, right, title to improvement whereon I now reside, on WS Pearl River adj John Mitchell Junr. above & Absalom Johnson below, provided that the sole occupation etc. of sd premises shall continue to be vested in sd David and his “beloved wife Sarah” until decease of them both; Recorded same date. (abstracted in Creel, St Tammany, 3).

Goings, Sarah-Washington Parish Deed Bk 8, 58-9; 30 Oct 1903, at Mt Hermon, Mary Ricks wife of Ben Ricks, Fannie Parker wife of J.L. Parker, Olivia Booty wife of Dyson Booty and Joseph Goings Jr., to Eugene Goings, for $500, sold undivided interest in the W 1/2 of the NW 1/4 and the N 1/2 of the Sw 1/4 of Sec. 26 in T1S R9E, containing 160 acres, being same land acquired by Sarah C. Goings from the USA, homestead cert. #2498; wit. B.M. Booty; Recorded 31 Oct 1903.

Gordon, James-on 23 June 1819, William Johnston of Pike Co, MS purchased 160 acres, being the SE 1/4 of Sec 21 in T3 R11E; on 29 Sept 1819, for $180, Johnson sold his right to James Gordon; at a Pike County Probate Court Oct 1828, Nancy Gordon and John Gordon were appointed administrators on the estate of James Gordon decd., and were authorized to sell certain land certificates in the possession of the deceased.; on 21 Jan 1829, Nancy and John Gordon sold right to James Y. McNabb “for a valuable consideration”; on 7 March 1829, McNabb appointed Peter Quin his attorney; on 10 March 1829, McNabb relinquished his right to the within to the United States, he having failed to complete payment. Green, Robert J.- Deed Bk 6, 36-7; 14 Dec 1880, Robert J. Green to Asa Strahan, for $150 ($50 paid and $102 payable 1 Jan 1882), sold right, title interest to a tract on Bogue Faliah River, being the western part of SE 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Sec 15 and the W 1/2 of the NW 1/4 and the NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Sec 14 and the SE 1/4 of the of the SW 1/4 of Sec 11 in T4S R10E, containing 120 acres; wits. Daniel M. Wadsworth, R. L. Pitman.; Taken from one of the partially burned books and recorded 1 May 1902.

Griffin, Mary– Washington Parish Deed Bk 9, 124-5; 1 Dec 1862, Mrs. Mary (x) Griffin widow of John Mizell decd., to Mrs. Inda (x) Rogers widow of John Rogers decd., for $25, sold land on Little Creek bounded on 3 sides by public land, and S by Moses Jenkins’s land, containing 320 acres; wits. Stephen Mizell, Mary Ann Morris; Recorded 28 Jan 1905.
