Hicklin to Frederick Rester, for value received, gave right & title to place “I settled in the fork of Thomsons & Resters Creek on Pearl River that I settled before the American flag was raised at Batton Rouge,” provided that if sd. Richardson, Eliza- Washington Parish Deed Bk 7, 573-4; Dec 1902, Martha Thomas, Thomas Davidson Richardson, Leona Evans, Laura Parker wife of H.I. Parker and Charlotte Welch wife of Emile Welch of St Tammany Par. to D.W. Richardson, for $600, sold 640 acres, being Sec. 43 in T3S R14E, known as the Stafford Headright, this title intended to take place of title made to sd. D.W. Richardson, Stephen- [1] Washington Parish Deed Bk 10, 528-9; date of deed not found, but was recorded 25 Feb 1867, Hardy Richardson admin. of estate of Stephen D. Richardson decd., authorized to sell at public auction the property of the decd. on 21 Jan 1867, sold to James Pierce (for amount illegible) a tract on Pearl River bounded N by lands of the Pool heirs, E by Pearl River, S by lands formerly owned by Brown Maeigng[thus] and W by public lands and the James Lea Tract of land and known as the Brassfield mill place and better known as the last homestead of Thomas J. Brassfield, containing 620 acres; wits. James Pierce, John J. Slocum. [2] Deed Bk 11, 426; 20 March 1868, Hardy Richardson, admin. of estate of Stephen D. Richardson decd., authorized to sell property of the decd. at sale 26 Feb 1863, sold for $300 to Leroy L. Thomas the George Mitchell tract, bound N by the Peters tract and E by Pearl River; wits. Warren of St Tammany Par. to Daniel Warren Richardson, for $300, sold tract 640 acres, bounded N by lands of Thomas J. Adams and land formerly belonging to Stephen D. Richardson, E by Pearl River, S by lands formerly belonging to Stephen D.Richardson, W by public land; wits. John F. Ard, John E. Morris. Re-recorded from the burned records 8 Oct 1906. [4] Deed Bk 11, 427; 14 Dec 1874, William C. Warren of St Tammany Par. to Mrs. Eliza C. Richardson, for $650, sold 640 acres bounded E by Pearl River, S by lands of the vendor; wits. John E. Roberts, George- Washington Parish; 14 July 1819, WPL, before John Gwin, Judge, appeared Mrs. Susanna Wood late Susanna Roberts widow of George Roberts decd. Of WPL, who declared that for $700 ($400 paid, $300 payable by 1 Jan next), she sold to Isaac Roberts Junr. & Thomas Roberts of WPL, all that parcel of land on which the sd Susanna lately resided, bounded E by Hays Creek, on the S or lower side by William McGee, W by vacant lands, N by claim of sd Thomas Roberts, which land was improved by sd Susanna in 1809 or 1810 and entered in her name; John Wood, husband of Susanna, present and consenting; wits. John K. Goff, Jacob Magee; Recorded 22 July 1819.

4 Aug 1828, WPL, before Thomas C. Warner, Parish Judge, appeared Susanna Wood (mother of the late Thomas Roberts of WPL decd.), Isaac Roberts (brother and partner of the decd.), Francis Bickham who married Rhoda Roberts, William Bickham who married Amelia Roberts, and Warren Ellis who married Anna Roberts (sisters of the decd.), and all legal heirs of sd deceased and all of proper age, who amicably agreed to settle the estate of sd deceased (total valued at $1813.78) as follows: to Isaac Roberts the share of land, mills and gin in WPL whereon sd Isaac now resides, valued at $1000; the other heirs agree to take and divide equally the money, stock and debts “that may be due to each heir, from said Isaac Roberts, by his receiving the lands, mills &c as aforesaid. He the said Isaac Roberts does agree, he will pay over to each of said heirs the amount that may be due to each one” by 1 Jan 1830. Recorded 5 Aug 1828. Roberts, Isaac and Thomas- Washington Parish; 1 May 1820, certificate issued to Isaac & Thomas Roberts for a section of land in STP on which they reside as actual settlers by purchase from S. Roberts. (LSLO, Greensburg Land Papers, Book 15, Abstract B, #810 [T-172]).

Robertson, James– St Tammany Parish Deed Bk A-1, 22; 2 June 1804, Lewis (x) Whitsel late resident of Mississippi Territory to James Robertson of New Orleans, for $45, sold right, title interest to tract on Bogue Chitto south of the national line, being the same formerly claimed by Thomas Nichols & conveyed by him to sd Whitsel; wits.
