Stuart, for $100, sold the Benjamin Richardson headright on Bogue Lusa Creek, containing 320 acres, bound W by lands of Peter Jenkins; wits. Rowan F. Fussell, Sylvester Jourdan; Re-recorded from the burned records 16 June 1906.

James, William Thomas– Washington Parish Deed Bk 9, 23; 21 Aug 1876, William Thomas James to Pleasant Hill Church by their trustees William L. Booty and Jeremiah Smith, no consideration stated, gave 3 acres, being part of tract on Silver Creek, being part of the Evan James Headright, beginning NS sd creek and running E down a hollow to opposite the corner of the fence of James Ellzey, etc.; wits. Hardy Richardson, Henry G. Jenkins; Recorded 16 Dec 1904.

Johnson, Kinzie- Washington Parish Deed Bk 8, 461; 22 May 1874, Kinzie Johnson to Andrew Jackson Jackson his son, gave right, title, interest to 320 acres on ES Bogue Chitto River, bordered N by lands of M. McLain, E by vacant lands, S by lands of William H. Jones, W by sd river, being same land acquired by donor from David Mizelle by purchase, the donor “being old and infirm and no longer able to work for a living or to get a livelihood by labor and for the purpose of having a home and a sure support in his declining years […]”; sd donation not for the purpose of giving the donee any advantage over other legitimate heirs; wits. S. Jourdan & Malcom McLain; Recorded 27 May 1904.

Jones, Michael- St Tammany Par Deed Bk A-1, 321; 14 June 1819, Michael Jones to “my beloved son” Robert Jones, gave negro boy Jacob (aged 14 years), one mare, all the hogs and cattle that are on his plantation in Hancock County, Mississippi; wits. Uriah Smith, Abner Bickham; Recorded 16 June 1819. (Creel, St Tammany, 44).

Jones, Wiley- Washington Parish Deed Bk 10, 510; 17 Nov 1905, W.J. Jones, Laura Jones (feme sole), Charles A. Magee, Ada Bateman (wife of Dewitt Bateman), Mabel Jones (feme sole), Ezekiel Sturdivant (wife of George L. Sturdivant, “Zekie” in signature section), Bertha Knight (wife of George W. Knight), being all of the forced heirs of Wiley H. Jones except Eulah Hurdle and Emily Wood, acknowledge that on 25 Oct 1898 W. J. Jones admin. on succession of Wiley Jones decd. transferred to Mrs. Emily Wood wife of Jacob E. Wood property as follows: N 1/2 of the Wiley Jones headright in T2S R9E containing 320 acres as will appear by Conveyance Bk 2, p 536; and whereas the description does not accurately describe the sd property, now therefore to remove cloud to the title, declare that the property is the N 1/2 of the “Wiley Jones under David Gorman headright no. 44” in T3S R9 and R10E containing 320 acres, and they relinquish their interest in the property to Charles L. Seal the present owner; wits. R.H. Spring, O.P. Mizell.

Jones and wife Charlotte (x) Morris to Alexander Magee, for $300, sold tract on headwaters of Berry Creek known as the Magee Place containing 160 acres, bounded N & W by public land, E by the balance of the section owned by Isaac Cutrer, S by lands owned by Isaac Cutrer; wits.
